| 1996 Cadillac DeVille 4.6L third gear VIN: 1G6KD52Y9T have 1996 cadillac with a 4T80E transmission and it has no third gear. at 40 MPH acts like it goes to neutral. dropped the pan and fluid is clean and no sign of any mechanical falure. |

A suggested repair was possibly EGR ports plugged that was allowing carbon to get stuck in EGR to hold it open. However the Freeze frame data & fault codes both indicate exa... Trouble codes: P0405 (EGR Valve Position Sensor Circuit low voltage), P1404 (EGR Valve Sensor Closed Pintle position), P1599 (Engine Stall or Near stall detected), P1620 (Low Coolant Switch circuit). |
