Thanks for all the replies, I know this sounds confusing the way it is written. My scanner was not reading cam retard, the numbers displayed turned out to be desired advance from the ECM. Since I could not read cam retard, I pulled the distributor, re-installe... Trouble codes: P1192 (Cam crank synchro error), P1345.

Hi and thanks for the help many of you said try the relearn 3 times and if that does not fix it replace the passlock sensor well the relearn did not work and I replaced the paslock sensor and presto it's fixed thanks again for your time. God bless

I waited a few weeks before closing this, and checked with the customer last week to be sure. This appears to be fixed, and the original problem is solved. I had gotten some good and not-so-good advice. I did test the purge solenoid for leaks, and that passe... Trouble codes: P0440 (Evap large leak found corroded filler neck unfixed), P0135 (heated O2 htr code B1S1 tested ok this time), P0172 (fuel system rich).
