took a chance and put a pcm in it had it programed let the car idle for a hour then drove 3 different times 80 miles never missed a beat. the pcm was like 80 bucks reman so we took a chance. thanks for all the help I just could not get it to break long enough ... Trouble codes: P0102.

thank you everyone for replying. I forgot to mention i did change out the fuel filter and it was clogged up. It did not make a difference. The problem was the fuel pump assembly. It had pressure ,in fact the exactly thesame readings as another 98 chev. truck ... Trouble codes: P0171.
