| 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera 3.1L Mechanical VIN: 1G2WJ52M2R The shop told me wrong ntake gaskets were used. This engine did not use the plastic push rod guides that are part of the gasket.Apparently the push rods were being pushed out of alignment with the rocker arms. Correct intake gasket corrected the noise. Thanks ... |

| 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GT 3.8L Excessive Emissions VIN: 1G2WP52K3W Thanks to all that replied. It turned out that the ECT sensor was out of range at idle and the vehicle was dumping fuel in an attemp to heat it up faster. Replaced the sensor and it flew through the e-test no problem. Thanks again everyone. |
