2001 Chrysler Town & Country (Van) 3.8L speedometer erratic
Customer brought us vehicle complaining about speedometer
working erratically and the engine "missing" sometimes. The
speedometer sometimes drops to 0 momentarily as well as
bouncing past 120 momentarily and then everywhere in
between. When it bounces past 120... Trouble codes: p0500 (no speed sensor signal), p1282 (fuel pump relay circuit), p1495 (leak detection pump solenoid). |

1998 Dodge Caravan 3.0L Poor Idle Quality, Hesitation, Surge, Cuts out, Stall, MIL Lamp on
Guys, I really, really don't want to pull the trans out of
this van. Vehicle came to me almost a month ago with a
leaking water pump, an exhaust leak, and a "service engine
soon" light. Owner had just replaced the muffler and said

Techs: as some suggested need to determine if I have lost spark or fuel injection...will not see the vehicle til next month so unfortunately will not be able to post test results now...appreciate all the info...look forward to updating with a fix at a later da... Thanks to all who responded. The fix for this was performing a quick learn with a scan tool. Customer has had Jeep for a few weeks and has reported all is ok. |
