| 2001 Ford Cougar 2.5L Excessive Emissions, Poor Idle Quality, Hesitation, Surge, Misfire, Backfire Thanks everyone, Helped out a lot. Problem ended up being a coil pack, Cyl 2 & 6 go down only when you drive it. Checked continuity from PCM to coil pack, All ok. Checked trigger to coil pack while fault occours, All ok. Replaced coil pack and its all fixed. |
