| 1999 Volkswagen Beetle GLS 2.0L Hesitation, Surge, Cuts out, Misfire, MIL Lamp on VIN: 3VWCC21C4X I think I fixed this one by disconnecting the ECM and cleaning the gound connections near the ECM. There was a fair amount of leaves in the cowl area that may have contributed to the gound connection problem. Thanks to Marcy who suggested the gounds under the ...
