1998 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie 5.9L Surge, Cuts out, Stall
other tech in the shop routed the coil feed wires next to the exaust manifold with melted and were shorting out. i cannot believe i missed this one thanks to all who responded

Thanks to all that replied,as someone had suggested fix turned out to be the position switch that screws into the top of the transfer case.
