| 1994 Ford Ranger STX 2.3L Surge, Cuts out VIN: 1FTCR14A5R OEM coilpacks fixed this one. It had 2 different brands of aftermarket coilpacks. I still donot understand why they would not misfire at WOT at 2-5k rpm. All I can think was that the aftermarket ICM and 2 different aftermarket coilpacks had issues. | 1999 Ford Explorer XL 4.0L Hesitation, Stall, MIL Lamp on VIN: 1FMZUL4EXX Jason from Maryland you are the man !!! it was a fuse blown in the power distribution box . The O2 sensor heat shield on the drivers side rotted off and made a bare spot in the wire causing it to ground out . replaced the O2 sensor and now everything is great ... Trouble codes: P1409 (evr ctrl ckt fault), P1451 (evap sys vent ctrl valve fault), P1747 (pres ctrl sol short ckt epc). |
