| 2003 Volkswagen Beetle GLS 1.8L MIL Lamp on VIN: 3VWCD21C53 Dollard nailed the recirc code dead on. It was the valve in the intake tube. It wouldn't hold vacuum. I guess the code will set with a circuit or vacuum failure preventing the bypass system from working. I would classify this system as a lame excuse for a turb...
