| 1999 Mercury Cougar 2.0L No Start, MIL Lamp on VIN: 1ZWFT603XX You can't believe what I found. There was a missing tooth on the flywheel sensor ring that pulses the crank sensor. There were 2 spaces in the ring instead of 1 space. Because of the missing tooth, the computer would start firing # 1 twice per crank revolution... Trouble codes: P1380, P1381. |
