TXV or compressor control valve on 06 GTO?
The system has 105 psi resting, right on the money for today's weather. With the system on, low side drops to about 70psi and the hi side only gets to about 115psi. The car has 83,6xx miles on it. My question is, how do I distinguish between a bad expansion valve vs a compressor issue? The compressor is a delphi v7. They have the control valves in them. Is it possible that control valve is seized? They are cheap and I can suck it down and charge it as many times as I need, but obviously the expansion valve and a new compressor are expensive and can't be returned. Anything I'm missing before I proceed?
