Basically, Yes. Now I check for updates before informing the customer of their availability. If there are not any important updates, or the vehicle is current, I dont even bring it up. We charge $98 for updates, but most shops I talk to charge more. Our reasoning is that increasing a customers ticket from $198 to $296 seems less scary than from $198 to $316. We have been able to sell most of the updates we have recommended.
