Re: Ethical obligation?
Everyone is entitled to thier opinion... Even though it is wrong, they are entitled to it. So speak your opinion, share honestly with your students your thoughts, remind them that you ain't thier mama and they can do what they want. As educators we are giving our opinion all the time as which is the best way to diagnose a drivability issue or hammer or press out a ball joint, etc, so schools should be no different, you have thier best in mind. I tell students that they should pursue a different career if they have no aptitude for the mechanical career. Just my opinion ;)
