I am a KeePass fan, but most users will find LastPass easier to set up and use.

These programs make creating and managing secure passwords pretty easy. They also safely automate logging into password-protected websites. There's an initial learning curve, but once you're "over the hump" you'll wonder why you didn't start using one or the other sooner.

For techs/shops that use multiple service information or programming websites, either of these would be an excellent way to manage and share the passwords on multiple shop computers. Many of these websites require frequent password changes. Creating secure passwords and keeping them in sync between PCs can be a real PITA, as I am sure you have already realized...
