ATG Schedule of Classes for July 2016
Posted to Industry Events Forum on 6/27/2016
Greetings, everyone!
The Automotive Training Group (ATG) has the following
classes available for the month of July 2016. All classes
run from 6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. each night for both nights,
except where noted below.
ADVANCED CIRCUIT & ELECTRICAL TESTING: This
class is about using wiring diagrams as part of a larger
strategy to increase testing accuracy and decrease testing
time (and even the number of tests performed). We're
combining wiring information with codes, symptoms, system
interactions, Scan Tool PIDs & controls, and other
observations.
* July 11th & 12th, 2016 Lubbock, TX
* July 13th & 14th, 2016 Abilene, TX
* July 18th & 19th, 2016 Billings, MT
* July 25th & 26th, 2016 Toronto, Ontario (CANADA)
FORD ENGINE PERFORMANCE: This all-new Ford
Engine Performance training manual and seminar covers the
evolving failures of both new and legacy engine management
systems. We provide in-the-trenches explanations of systems
and failures, including case studies that show the latest
tricks for finding root causes fast. This isn't just a
summary of OEM information and training material, but was
built by analyzing actual diagnostic struggles and
documenting the shortest diagnostic paths.
* July 6th & 7th, 2016 Reno, NV
* July 11th & 12th, 2016 Modesto, CA
* July 11th & 12th, 2016 Fort Wayne, IN
* July 13th & 14th, 2016 Fresno, CA
* July 13th & 14th, 2016 Indianapolis, IN
* July 25th & 26th, 2016 Rohnert Park, CA
* July 25th & 26th, 2016 Portland, OR
* July 27th & 28th, 2016 Sacramento, CA
EVAPORATIVE EMISSIONS SYSTEMS: OEM
flowcharts routinely make EVAP system diagnostics too
complicated. Despite the wide variety of systems out there,
our research has revealed that a layered approach is much
faster than the linear OEM approach, leading to a profitable
diagnosis without the wasted (and unbillable) diagnostic
time or multiple trips for your customer. This is the 2nd
subject in our Import Series, but also comes with a thick
Domestic section. First, we show you universal techniques
applicable to every system. If no leaks are found, the
procedures become more system-specific, but not yet
manufacturer-specific. All systems fall into one of four
categories listed below, and by following our universal
procedures, you can still avoid the technical nonsense that
typically lengthens diagnostic times! Most faults are found
using these first two layers. We have also included
manufacturer and system specific tips and tricks for those
cases where you'll need to go that deep.
* July 6th & 7th, 2016 Woodbridge, NJ
* July 11th & 12th, 2016 Rochester, NY
* July 13th & 14th, 2016 Amherst, NY
* July 18th & 19th, 2016 Falls Church, VA
* July 20th & 21st, 2016 Virginia Beach, VA
* July 25th & 26th, 2016 Richmond, VA
* July 25th & 26th, 2016 Green Bay, WI
* July 27th & 28th, 2016 Raleigh, NC
* July 27th & 28th, 2016 Madison, WI This particular
class runs 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. each evening.
ADVANCED DRIVABILITY DIAGNOSTICS
STRATEGIES: This seminar builds on the success of
our Intermittent Electrical seminar, bringing practical and
real-world tests to quickly isolate to a root cause for
drivability and trouble code faults. Traditional diagnostics
tell us to 'check the basics', but that means hours of
compression, vacuum, fuel pressure/volume and other
time-consuming tests. So we've developed top-down tests for
engine mechanical and engine management that help you drill
down along the most effective diagnostic path. We'll show
you the latest 'geeky' tools like transducers and processed
Scan Tool functions, but we'll also include great ways to
get results using the Scan Tools and traditional test
equipment you already own.
* July 27th & 28th, 2016 Winnipeg, Manitoba (CANADA)
