ATG Schedule of Classes for May 2016
Posted to Industry Events Forum on 4/28/2016

Hello everyone,

The Automotive Training Group (ATG) has the following classes available for the month of May 2016 which all run from 6:30PM - 10:00PM each night for both nights, except where noted below.

ADVANCED CIRCUIT & ELECTRICAL TESTING: This class is about using wiring diagrams as part of a larger strategy to increase testing accuracy and decrease testing time (and even the number of tests performed). We're combining wiring information with codes, symptoms, system interactions, Scan Tool PIDs & controls, and other observations.

* May 16th & 17th, 2016 Shreveport, LA

FORD ENGINE PERFORMANCE: This all-new Ford Engine Performance training manual and seminar cover the evolving failures of both new and legacy engine management systems. We provide in-the-trenches explanations of systems and failures, including case studies that show the latest tricks for finding root causes fast. This isn't just a summary of OEM information and training material, but was built by analyzing actual diagnostic struggles and documenting the shortest diagnostic paths.

* May 4th & 5th, 2016 Phoenix, AZ * May 4th & 5th, 2016 Bangor, ME * May 4th & 5th, 2016 Asheville, NC * May 9th & 10th, 2016 Arden Hills, MN * May 11th & 12th, 2016 Plymouth, MA * May 11th & 12th, 2016 Bloomington, MN * May 18th & 19th, 2016 Little Rock, AR * May 25th & 26th, 2016 Salinas, CA

EVAPORATIVE EMISSIONS SYSTEMS: OEM flowcharts routinely make EVAP system diagnostics too complicated. Despite the wide variety of systems out there, our research has revealed that a layered approach is much faster than the linear OEM approach, leading to a profitable diagnosis without the wasted (and unbillable) diagnostic time or multiple trips for your customer. This is the 2nd subject in our Import Series, but also comes with a thick Domestic section. First, we show you universal techniques applicable to every system. If no leaks are found, the procedures become more system-specific, but not yet manufacturer-specific. All systems fall into one of four categories listed below, and by following our universal procedures, you can still avoid the technical nonsense that typically lengthens diagnostic times! Most faults are found using these first two layers. We have also included manufacturer and system specific tips and tricks for those cases where you'll need to go that deep.

* May 2nd & 3rd, 2016 Roanoke, VA * May 9th & 10th, 2016 San Diego, CA * May 9th & 10th, 2016 Fort Myers, FL * May 9th & 10th, 2016 College Park, MD * May 9th & 10th, 2016 Houston, TX * May 11th & 12th, 2016 Escondido, CA * May 11th & 12th, 2016 Clearwater, FL This class is held 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. each evening. * May 11th & 12th, 2016 Timonium, MD * May 16th & 17th, 2016 Statesboro, GA This class is held 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. each evening. * May 16th & 17th, 2016 Syracuse, NY * May 16th & 17th, 2016 Fort Collins, CO * May 18th & 19th, 2016 Savannah, GA * May 18th & 19th, 2016 Albany, NY * May 18th & 19th, 2016 Denver, CO * May 23rd & 24th, 2016 Stockton, CA * May 23rd & 24th, 2016 Baton Rouge, LA * May 23rd & 24th, 2016 Plainview, NY * May 23rd & 24th, 2016 Albuquerque, NM * May 25th & 26th, 2016 Metairie, LA * May 25th & 26th, 2016 El Paso, TX

TRANSMISSION IN-CAR DIAGNOSTICS: Whether you're a transmission specialist or not, you share a common problem -- how to efficiently diagnose the root cause of a transmission code or complaint in a reasonable time. This is even more important for modern, integrated drivetrains where drivability problems are often transmission-related, and transmission complaints often end up being engine-related. That's why we're bringing the strategies we've learned from emissions and drivability diagnostics into the world of automatic transmissions. Our focused, repeatable strategy allows you to more quickly find the fault while taking apart the fewest components.
