The Automotive Training Managers Council (ATMC) will hold our annual conference on April 15-17, 2013 at the Inverness Hotel and Conference Center in Englewood, Colorado (Denver). The Council is a group of over 140 training managers and developers from diverse experiences throughout the transportation industry. About a third of our members come from the OEMs, a third from the aftermarket, and a third from businesses that serve the training industry such as software developers, publishers, tool manufacturers, etc. We see ourselves as a "think tank" of sorts for the auto and truck training industry, looking into the foreseeable future on how people will learn and helping each other prepare for that future.

At the upcoming conference we will focus on using the collective wisdom of the group to address common problems such as leveraging technology to balance training costs, improving technician retention through training, finding tomorrow's trainable technicians, and improving the way we all share information. In addition, there will be presentations by OSHA on their new workplace training requirements and by ASE on the accreditation process for training providers. As always, there will be plenty of opportunities to network with individuals you might never have the ability to connect with outside of the conference.

For more information about the ATMC Conference see the EVENTS tab on our website and be sure to check out the list of your peers who are members under the Public Directory on the ABOUT tab. The strength of our organization is in the diversity of our members and we hope that you will join us to improve the collective intelligence of the group.
