Technician Needed in Denver, CO
Posted to Classifieds Forum on 6/15/2016

Next week I'm scheduled to close on my very own auto repair shop. While I have managed to set up website designers, insurance agents, credit card processors, etc. I still have one HUGE thing left on my "to do" list, hire an amazing technician who can help me continue the success that the previous owners had for 30 years.

I don't feel comfortable posting the name of the shop in a public forum until I actually close the purchase but will be more than happy to answer any questions privately. So..... without further ado.

The shop has been in the same location since 1986 and the owners have decided to retire. It began as a Honda/Acura repair shop that has branched out a little bit to include other Japanese models. I intend to continue specializing and if I adjust at all, it will be to specialize to a greater degree. I want to be the best Honda/Acura shop in Denver. Among the first things I want to do when I take over is get my LSID and the HDS so that we will be able to reprogram the vehicle modules and program new keys for our customers.

There are four lifts to work in, 3 two posts and one alignment rack. The work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am until 5 pm. The shop has been closed for the week between Christmas and New Years, this is a tradition that I have no intention of changing, the week will be a paid holiday.

Sales have dropped a bit in the last year or so, but there is still a good foundation to build off of. I will have no problems paying a productive technician a good wage and updating some dated equipment (not as fast as I'd like, but budgets exist for a reason)

I will pay either hourly with a bonus based on monthly sales, or flat rate with a guarantee. I want my employees to worry about providing good customer service, not a complicated pay plan.

I understand that this has been a bit of a ramble, not a typical job posting, but I find it kind of difficult to walk a line between what I can and cannot say before I actually have possession of the business, but I'll be more than happy to answer any questions via private messages.
