Head bolt torque
Posted to Technical Discussion Forum on 12/20/2015 8 Replies

When torquing new head bolts on this truck I found it difficult to reach final torque. Seemed like the bolts kept turning at 65 ft lbs for a while until finally reaching 70. Kind of worried me a little. Has anyone else had this happen before? Seems like a lot of stretching going on there, I've verified the part number of the bolts and compared them to the ones I took out.
