Vibe CAN Diag
Posted to Technical Discussion Forum on 9/22/2015 18 Replies

Hello IATN members, I'm having trouble pinpointing this 09' vibe. The vehicle came in with a p0500 vehicle speed sensor circuit code. I can clear the code but it will come back on (along with the VSC and the Traction control lamp) as soon as the wheels begin to move. The wheel speed sensors provide an a/c input to the EBCM. The a/c signal is converted to digital information and sent out as high speed communication on the CAN. The vehicle speed is used by the IPC and ECM to show vehicle speed. I show data on all four WSS and the cluster displays vehicle speed, but the ECM does not see a VSS signal. I don't want to throw parts at the car but I'm having a hard time determining if the IPC is not sending a signal, or the ECM is just not seeing it.
