I am interested in your thread and will like to ask a question, i have 2005 chrysler300 which, the ecm has gone bad and will need to replace it, i have drewtech passthru device, i want to know if this method can be use through the passthru device to replace the ecm... i am asking this because i have ordinary key programmer tool, and i have the pincode for the skim, after placing the new ecm which i got from the junk yard, and program the keys, and turn the key off after successful confirmation and the security light went off, when i tried to crank the car, the security light comes back again... so myquestion is with this year and model car, can the method be apply, that is removing or disconnecting the bcm or the skim, write the vin through the drewtech passthru, reset the skim and sri, and connecting back the skim/bcm, will the car start. without registering the pincode..i look forward to read from you soon. thanks in advance
