power loss, reduced power mode
Posted to HD/Fleet Forum on 8/10/2017 4 Replies

Hello all, we got this NPR that has got me stumped, customer states that driving down the road the MIL will come on, and it will (seemingly) go into reduced power mode, we get the truck and after driving for 30-45 min we duplicate the complaint. it gets progressively worse the longer you drive it, when the MIL comes on it sets DTC P0093, and sometimes P0087, with a scam tool connected to the vehicle when the problem occurs, there are no dropouts on the FRP sensor signal, and also with a lab scope connected to the signal wire coming off the FRP sensor, no dropouts detected. any suggestions?? i checked fuel fiter vaccuum, (stayed under 1" of vaccuum at all times.) pressure relief valve?? injector returning too much fuel under load?? is there a way to test either one of those? Thanks in advance!!
