If it's any help ,we had something odd happen here too , a new crew member dumped about five gallons of diesel fuel into the hydraulic reservoir , on one of our Bobcat skidsteers ,the boss caught him before he could start the machine , I called our local Bobcat dealer , he said almost the identical method to use ,I removed one of the tilt hoses for the bucket , had it blocked up so it wouldn't drop , when the pressure was released ,fired it up , let it pump the contaminated fluid into a 30 gallon drum we keep around the place . As per instructions from Bobcat ,I let it idle until the fluid stopped flowing , shut it down , and refilled the reservoir with fresh new Bobcat hydraulic fluid ,and we were very lucky in that the main hydraulic pump was not damaged -The new crew member had smoke coming out of both ears by the time the boss had given him a few " Words of Wisdom " -
