2008 f-250
I'm trying to help my shopowner out here, we installed a shortblock in a 2008 f-250 6.4, started it up and everything is fine except the flywheel (auto trans) rubs against the starter nose and makes a terrible noise. The core is already gone but were wondering is there is some kind of spacer that goes between the flywheel and crank flange that we somehow left off? We spaced the starter our with a couple of washers just to warm the engine up and check for leaks, all good but we have to figure out what is going on with the starter flywheel interference. Thanks!
