Sterling Truck with AC hose problem
Posted to HD/Fleet Forum on 8/21/2013 7 Replies

This is actually a LT9500, was not an option in the drop down box.

We are having a recurring problem with the AC line from the AC compressor to the AC Air Drier. For the third time since 2006 this hose has developed leaks in the hose section of this line. Last one was put on 6/12 and it is damp with the leak detector green dye the full length. The original one was replaced 9/09, then replaced again 6/12 and now needs another one 8/13. This hose is installed with all the factory hold downs and it does not touch any other parts of the truck. It makes a fairly gentile bend above the engine.

Just wondering if there are any other people who have this truck that have had the same repeat failure of this line.

This truck is used to water roads in a quarry and is not licensed so we have to pay a road call to get someone out to recharge the system every time.
