Hi All,
We have a vehicle in our shop with a Cummins 3.9L 4BT engine
(it is installed in a Toyota Landcruiser!) It had a medium
sized oil leak from the oil filter adapter plate to oil
cooler. We disassembled and replaced the two gaskets with OE
Cummins parts. Now there is a coolant leak between the oil
cooler and the block. So we took it apart and did it a
second time, same problem. Cooler plate is flat and
straight. Any advice? Goop it up with RTV does not seem like
a good idea.
Thanks
Gary
