I have a theory. I have never met you in person, but I feel
that I know you well enough to testify to your competence
and dedication. Since you haven't changed, that only leaves
your customers. The FuPR algorithm tries to categorize the
vehicles you inspect by year, make, model, and alleged
mileage, and smugly grades your "inspection quality" based
on a curve derived from the average follow-up performance of
that inspection population. The conclusion drawn is
egregiously over-simplified, because it is impossible to use
that limited information to include the most important
factor of all ... the vehicle owner's actual attitude toward
proper maintenance, diagnosis, and repair.
So, my theory is that you got enough "don't give a damn"
customers in the last two years to lower your score. It is a
guilt-by-association type of fallacy that irks me to no end,
but it's hard to get anyone with a good score to listen.
Am I making any sense to you, or anyone else, for that
matter?
