Rocky,
Your sensible recommendation of noting the reason behind the
'repair' works fine if the job turns into a complaint, but
does nothing to explain the situation to someone among the
'powers that be' who is remotely viewing the VID, and using
the data that pops up on the screen to make important
'decisions' about the quality and/or integrity of the
technician. Of course, I'm talking about repair performance,
follow-up pass rate, and all of the other personal
statistics that are kept on techs (I don't have a problem
with statistics, I have a problem with the false
significance placed on them when they are based on
incomplete information).
Take care!
