Training conferences
Posted to Industry Issues Forum on 7/31/2016 20 Replies

I had my eyes opened when I took a leap of faith attending the VisionKC last March. I now have a desperate feeling in my gut. I need more, quality training.

I used to go to the AVI conference in Vegas during SEMA. I have been disappointed with class selections and quality of the training that AVI has put together for the last few years.

What I would like to know is where I can find training similar to the Vision conference and less like to after school specials found at the local hotels held on a weekday with some sort of (meal) provided. Can some of the people here point me in the direction of the good ones?

I live in Utah but have no problem with travelling to reach the good training. Is there any place on this site (that I can't seem to find) with a list of such events?

Any advice to go along with that would be great. Like when I was told about the Vision conference I advised to get a rental car. I didn't need one of those when I went to vegas. I had no idea the airport was 30 miles from the convention. The advice to get one was very good advice. As good as Vision was and as far as I can tell everyone thinks it is top notch, For some reason no one in my market has any idea what it is. Aside from the one other person that was there from my market. He is the one who told me about it.
