Re: Trade Union pushes Government mandate

Just to add to your post , Mike , had one here that caused some " interest " by the boss . I took our " gofer " , a Chevy S10 that we use for picking up parts , down your way to pick up some parts from the Trackless factory , noticed a problem with the steering , it seemed to be swaying on the highway . Stopped in a town near there , checked the tire pressures , all good . Called back to our shop , asked the shop guy if he had checked the front end when it was in for service , he said yup , it's good . Still not convinced , I pulled into a small shop on the way back up here , asked the shop owner to check the front end , upper left front ball joint was almost falling out of it ,hadn't been greased , was ready to come apart .Called it in , boss said get it fixed , get back here , bring the old part . Back on the road , swaying gone , boss caught me when I pulled in , took the old ball joint in to the shop , asked our shop guy just what the h*** he was doing , that should never have got away . Things were tense for a few days after that , it didn't happen twice .
