The Chrysler 2.4 Timing Belts can be a real pain to line up because the right strut tower is right in the way of the marks. They also dont give you a mark on the top of the pulley. They give them to you on the sides that you have to try to run a straight edge over. It is very easy to be a tooth off in either direction. Add to this if the vehicle came to you with a broken or slipped belt it can be very difficult. As a result, I took some pics and wrote up this alternative method after I finished one of these recently. This method works very well if the timing belt is broke and none of the pulleys are in time.
