GM PASS KEY III MODULE LOCK UP
Has anyone ever come across a VTD Pass Key III module to lock up due to a defective/damaged key fob ?????? After hours of trying to get this module back on-line, the only conclusion I can come up with is the broken key fob may have sent some weird signal to the VTD receiver. Scan data showed no communication with module at first. I discovered that if I jumped VTD module serial data direct to PCM, the module recovered and was found. I put it back in the loop of all modules and it now works. I tore the dash apart and checked all data lines for anything wrong, found nothing. Is this possible you think ?????
