After 36 years of wrenching, I'm giving it up. There are a
multitude of reasons, but I've been looking for something
else for 5-6 years.
I wanted to thank all the fine members of iATN who helped
make my automotive repair career successful. I know my name
isn't very common in these forums, but I was here on a daily
basis, reading the posts, learning, adjusting my policies,
and finding the right answers about how to test a new
problem I hadn't encountered before. Without iATN I wouldn't
have enjoyed the success that I have over the years.
I have found a new career. I purchased a WARN winch
distributorship called Montana Jack's Outpost. I am now a
distributor for all WARN products from ATV/UTV to truck to
Industrial. I am also a WARN Authorized Warranty Center, so
my mechanical background isn't lost completely. I also sell
a variety of ATV/UTV and truck accessories. I have an Amazon
store and my own website, www.montanajacks.com. Stop by and take a look, but realize
that I'm not done fixing the site and haven't had the chance
to get all of my product edited. Because of that some items
may show out of stock that I really have, and some items
aren't listed yet. The previous owner wasn't really on top
of this part of the business.
I purchased the business in April, and have been trying to
take care of my best automotive customers while revamping
Montana Jack's, and I've got to the point where that isn't
feasible any longer, so I'm pulling the plug on Thompson's
Automotive.
Again, I'd like to thank all of you for sharing your
knowledge and experience. iATN is the best thing that has
happened to the automotive repair industry in my lifetime.
Take care,
Scott
