When working on your sprinkler valves, or heads, or nozzles, in the yard on the weekend, nothing beats a garbage can lid, flipped upside-down, on the ground, for use as a "parts & tools tray". It will even float if the project turns into a flood zone! (no, that didn't happen, just thinking ahead)
