New Features: Mobile App & Auto Pro Wiki
We are very excited to announce two major new features today.
iATN Mobile App
Our long-awaited mobile app is now open for beta testing on
iOS devices (iPhone and iPad)! We'll be focusing on an
Android version next, but for those on iOS you can join
the beta test now. We look forward to rapidly iterating
on the mobile app in the days, weeks and months to come,
based on your feedback.
Currently the app can be used to easily follow and
participate in all the discussions happening on iATN,
receive notifications when interesting discussions have new
replies, and (for premium members), the ability to search
the Knowledge Base right from your phone or tablet. You can
even easily scan a VIN barcode to quickly search for
information related to a vehicle.

iATN Auto Pro Wiki
Following the successful release of iATN Auto Pro
Careers earlier this year, we are now ready to roll out iATN Auto
Pro Wiki, a product & services guide for the auto service
industry that can be curated by all members. The Wiki is
open to all to read, but only iATN members can edit it and
share reviews of products and services.
As with any wiki (such as Wikipedia), it is editable by the
people using it: you, and all members of iATN. There are
going to be pages for every company providing resources for
the auto service industry, and a page for every applicable
product and service they offer. Like Wikipedia, the
biographical information about companies and products must
be neutral, un-biased information. Opinions about the
products and services can be shared via the review system
built into the Wiki.
Creating new pages in the Wiki is easy: just review a
product or service, and any missing pages for the product
and service you're reviewing are created automatically.
After writing your review, you're welcome to provide more
biographical information about the company and/or it's
services by editing their Wiki pages. You are also free to
edit and create pages in the Wiki without posting a review.
Companies are also able to directly participate in the Wiki.
Those that are interested may run promotions for their
products on the pages that are tied to their company. These
optional promotions will appear in clearly marked areas of
the page, directly below the unbiased biographical
information and latest reviews. Company representatives that
are members of iATN are also encouraged to reply to product
reviews by our members. We're also interested in building a
Q&A system to facilitate communication between service
industry companies and their customers.
With your help, we look forward to building the world's most
comprehensive and most useful auto service industry product
& services guide.
