Re: Drugs
I grew up in the late 60's. I saw the availability of Mexican dope in the college dorms. I saw the true nickel ($5) bags of pot. But I also saw the users change of motivation. A lot of kids in school dropped out because they were smoking too much and letting everything else in life slide. I also saw that a lot of them change from pot to hash to PCP (and acid)and then to heroin. It can be the true gateway drug. I see friends 50 years later still affected by their earlier habits. Their thinking is not logical. Their response time to any questions asked is in seconds. As mentioned previously would you want your school bus driver stoned out of his mind. Or your airline pilot. Right now there are no legal standards to quantify "under the influence". We have opened up a huge morass of problems legalizing this stuff. And I have no doubt we are going to have many adverse situations as a result.
