2008 Ford Mustang GT, Engine/Propulsion Photo
Oil pressure too low at idle, disallowing proper functioning of the variable valve timing phasers, setting codes and creating a very rough idle. Worn crankshaft thrust bearing (.050" end play) allowed crank to begin rubbing block, main cap, and trans separator plate. This introduced lots of metal shavings into the oil, ultimately (I believe) compromising the oil pump.
