1998 Ford Expedition XLT 4.6L Loss of power VIN: 1FMRU18W1W
P1285: Cylinder head overheat. Sudden power loss & check engine light comes on intermitent ( twice in 2 months ). I know that the fail safe is causing the power loss but the vehicle is not overheating & scanning the coolant sensors show them close together. Cannot duplicate problem....

2005 Ford F-150 STX 4.2L MIL Lamp on VIN: 1FTRF12235
P1285: cylinder over temp. customer has been here twice. 1st time replaced temp sensor in head. didn't fix it. 2nd time replaced a couple plugs and coil pack didn't fix. temp gauge moves up fast and then goes into limp in mode. turn off key temp gauge moves down fast and it reboots comp...
