| 2004 Ford F-150 FX4 5.4L Excessive Emissions, Poor Idle Quality, Surge, MIL Lamp on VIN: 1FTPW14564 P0012: Intake Camshaft Position Timing Over Retarded (Bank 1). ... idles erratically, sets code P0012. Oil was changed with 5W20. Suggestion was a sticking VTC solenoid or cam sprocket issue. Cruises ok. Idles when P0012 is not prevalent. Runs great, idles great.
