| 1997 Mercury Sable GS 3.0L MIL Lamp on VIN: 1MELM50U8V P0453: evaporative emission malfunction. dtc code sometimes sets in 1 day but sometimes as long as 7! freeze frame always seems to show speeds between 40-60 mph. replaced vapor management valve (vmv) and fuel cap, checked all hoses (visually). canp solenoid also tests ok (resistance and operation) |
