Summary

You will find live conferencing rooms on the iATN 24 hours a day, so that you may easily chat with your fellow iATN members. Unlike most other anonymous chat rooms on the internet, ours is only available to the other members of iATN, guaranteeing conversations with automotive professionals. Long-time members moderate the rooms to ensure decorum. Many members stay connected throughout their day, popping in as their time permits, to help others and stay in contact with their peers.

All that is required is a Java-compatible web browser. (Premium members are permitted to use a stand-alone chat client.) Interact in real-time with other members, ask a question, brainstorm with other technicians, or just drop in and say "Hello" to other members from around the world!

iATN TechNight

In the TechNight room, monthly technical conferences are held by iATN members, on the first Tuesday of every month. An iATN staff member will coordinate the event and moderate it. Any text you type into the TechNight room will only be displayed if the moderator lets it through. This keeps the discussion very focused, as you can see in the TechNight transcripts (members-only link), which we store permanently on our server for future reference. (Of course, free-form discussion still takes place in the other rooms, such as the chat server lobby). TechNight discussion takes place among your fellow iATN members, so anyone is invited to participate! There have been over 200 TechNight events since its inception.
