iATN 2002 CONVENTION SLATED FOR SEPTEMBER
IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA

Brea, CA — The International Automotive Technicians Network (iATN) 2002 Annual Convention will be held Sept. 27-29, at the West Coast Anaheim Hotel, Anaheim, Calif.

The Convention, jointly sponsored by NAPA and ASE, will draw automotive service professionals from across the United States and around the world.

iATN (www.iatn.net), the world's largest network of automotive service professionals, has more than 38,000 automotive technicians, repair shop owners and other allied service professionals who regularly use iATN for networking, technical training and business development. The Convention gives iATN members the opportunity to meet other automotive service professionals "off-line" and attend top-notch technical and business management seminars given by industry experts.

"iATN has members in more than 120 countries. Through the network, these individuals have developed some important and lasting business and personal relationships," explained Brent Black, iATN founder and president. "The iATN Convention provides a forum for these members to meet face-to-face, many for the first time, and the educational sessions give them the resources to better their technical and business skills. The Convention is really just an extension of the iATN web site," said Black.

While the iATN Convention's traditionally casual format allows for plenty of important networking opportunities among iATN members, it will offer several special sessions to cover a wide range of technical and business management topics. A "TechNight Live: iATN West Coast Diagnostic Challenge" will be held on Friday, Sept. 27, and additional in-depth technical and business training seminars will be held the following day, Saturday, Sept. 28.

iATN has secured a rate of $79 for rooms at the West Coast Anaheim Hotel (714/750-1811). The hotel is located within a block of Disneyland and its newest theme park California Adventure. It is also close to Knott's Berry Farm and Pacific Ocean beaches, and is easily accessible from Los Angeles International Airport, John Wayne/Orange County Airport, Ontario International Airport and Long Beach Airport. Within driving distance are many other southern California attractions and destinations, including Universal Studios, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Venice Beach.

The iATN Convention routinely sells out and participants are encouraged to register early. iATN members may register online at: (http://members.iatn.net/meetings/fall2002).

Black cautions that since there will be no on-site registration, all attendees must register online in advance.

iATN conventions and meetings have grown in popularity, size and scope at various locations around the United States, and the 2002 event promises to be the largest and most comprehensive iATN Convention to date.
