John Lypen – Editor and Publisher

John began his MOTOR career in 1981. He was named Editor of MOTOR Magazine in 1995 and Publisher in 2001. John's Editor's Report has earned recognition in numerous editorial competitions. He currently serves on the board of directors of the National Automotive Service Task Force.

Karl Seyfert – Executive Editor

Karl has been with MOTOR Magazine since 2002. Karl is responsible for the technical content of the magazine, writes the Trouble Shooter column and contributes feature articles that have received recognition in numerous editorial competitions. He is an ASE Certified Master Automotive Technician with L-1, an SAE affiliate member and has over 40 years' experience in the automotive service industry.

Bob Cerullo – Senior Writer

Bob writes MOTOR's Trade Secrets column and has been a MOTOR contributor since 1975. He has been an ASE Certified Automotive Technician and SAE Affiliate Member, and has served on the Board of Directors of the Service Technicians Society. An award-winning journalist, Bob owned a 23-bay repair shop for more than 35 years. He hosted two automotive radio talk shows, was the auto expert on the FX TV morning show and has made other network television appearances, including Late Night with David Letterman and good Morning America.

Dan Marinucci – Senior Writer

Dan has been reporting on the auto repair industry since 1976 and has authored MOTOR's Foreign Service column since 1989. He has also worked as a technician and a diagnostic equipment salesman. Besides his writing duties, Dan has presented tech training classes across the United States and Canada since 1993.

Bill Howard – Senior Writer

Bill writes at the busy intersection of cars and technology. He is a contributing editor of Ziff-Davis' ExtremeTech.com and PCMag.com, vice president of the international MOTOR Press Association, former editor of PC Magazine and six-time winner of Computer Press Association awards for writing. He has written for The Wall Street Journal special sections, Popular Science, Bimmer and BMWCCA Roundel.

Mark Warren – Senior Writer

Mark authors MOTOR's Driveability Corner column and has been a MOTOR columnist since 1998. He is an ASE Certified Master Automotive Technician with L-1, an SAE Affiliate Member and a past President of the Service Technicians Society. Mark's Auto opened in 1976 and has been at its present location since 1983. The business is now primarily involved in training, writing, research and consulting.

Cecil Bullard – Contributing Writer

Cecil has more than 30 years' experience in the automotive service industry, is a third-generation technician and a well-known teacher and mentor. Each Business Sense column provides information to help automotive service businesses create and implement a plan for their success.
