Automotive Tech Instructor - Northcentral Tech College, WI

We are seeking a full-time (40 hrs/wk, 42 wks/yr) highly motivated faculty member to teach our students in our expanding Automotive program at the Wausau, WI campus. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, embrace technology, work collaboratively with the automotive team, and be focused on student success. Knowledge of the following topics is a must: automotive engines (gasoline and diesel) and advanced diagnostics knowledge, automotive electrical systems, suspensions and alignment systems, brakes systems, air conditioning systems, automatic transmissions and transaxles, manual drive transmissions and axle, fuel systems, automobile performance and drivability, computer based diagnostics, automotive computer applications, and safety practices and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess and have demonstrated advanced level diagnostic skills.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination (Associate's) of education and work experience. Totaling 4,000 - 14,000 hours (depending on educational attainment) of verified directly related occupational work experience, ability to meet WTCS certification requirements upon hire, Master ASE certification, ASE L1 Advanced Engine Performance Specialist certification preferred; experience in teaching and working with a sizable minority population preferred. $50,000 -- 57,500 annual salary depending on qualifications.
