The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is proud to be a sponsor of the International Automotive Technicians Network (iATN). ASE was founded in 1972 as an independent, non-profit organization with a single mission: To improve the quality of automotive service and repair through the voluntary testing and certification of automotive professionals.

The ASE program grew from a series of four automobile tests to a comprehensive offering of more than forty exams across specialty areas such as: Automobile/Light Truck, Collision Repair, Medium/Heavy Truck, Truck Equipment, School & Transit Bus, and Auto and Truck Parts.

Test questions focus on real-world diagnostic and repair problems, not theory. Upon passing at least one exam and accruing the relevant work experience, you earn ASE certification. Certification, however, is not for life. To remain certified, you must successfully retest every five years.

ASE delivers its certification exams exclusively on computer. Computer Based Testing (CBT) means immediate test results, testing availability throughout the year, and a choice of testing dates and times, including weekends.

ASE also features the online EPA Section 609 Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling program. To learn more, go to www.ASECampus.com.
